Obama's speech

In his inaugural speech, President Obama delivered a message of expectations. He spoke of the need to pull together in order to overcome the difficult times that our nation faces. He outlined many of the dire problems ahead, their causes and some solutions. His delivery was measured, somber and to my ear disheartening. I would give this speech a 5 out of 10. I was dissappointed that this speech did not measure up to his previous campaign speeches. Obama is an eloquent orator and this speech was subpar for him. At a time when a great, uplifting speech was needed, he fell short. Perhaps under the circumstances no speech could have accomplished what was needed.
